Going back to the earlier days of Earth, the plants and animals that lived then eventually died and decomposed. The majority of these life forms were phytoplankton and zooplankton. When these ancient ocean dwellers died, they accumulated on the bottom of a seabed; this is how a good portion of our fossil fuel reserves began. The actual transformation process of these prehistoric creatures is not known, but scientists do know that the pressure, heat, and a great deal of time go into the making of fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels are excellent sources of energy for our transportation needs; however they are also the primary source of electrical energy in the world today. Coal power plants account for at least 52% of the world's demand. We, as a world, burn approximately 1.9 billion tons of coal a year to generate electricity.

Fossil Fuels and The Current Energy Crisis (3rd Grading-No.1)
Fossil fuels, coal, oil and natural gas, are a non-renewable source of energy. Formed from plants and animals that lived up to 300 million years ago, fossil fuels are found in deposits beneath the earth. The fuels are burned to release the chemical energy that is stored within this resource. Energy is essential to modern society as we know it. Over 85% of our energy demands are met by the combustion of fossil fuels.
We are currently in an energy crisis. Fossil fuels are the lifeblood of our society and for many others around the world. Our supply has a finite end. Fossil fuels will run out and the use of them will soon take the lives of many people. These are important reasons to find other means of getting the energy we need to continue our society as we know it.
So what are our options?

Find another possible source of energy..There are many untapped energy sources that can be used as an alternative..Like wind, solar, etc..
ReplyDeleteThere are many sources of energy; so lets find a source that can sustent are needs in fuels. ALAMAG,VANESSA L./ I-SAMPAGUITA/ MANUEL ROXAS HIGH SCHOOL
ReplyDeletewe need to find another source of energy that we can use to our daily life. And we need to use some other energy that will not effect our environment.(antonio,iankayven,m/1-camia/manuel roxas high school)
ReplyDeleteFossil Fuels is one of alternative of all fuel like the other countries they use canola oil for their vehicles they study that canola oil is lesser in carbon dioxide it can help preventing pollution in ozone layer.

Just like the other three uses of energy (transportation, electricity, heating and cooling), manufacturing is something we depend on for our livelihood. Fossil fuels have played an important role in manufacturing ever since the beginning of the American Industrial Revolution. Initially, factories were set up where they had access to water power (hydropower). . Jenica Ann R.Quilanita / I-SAMPAGUITA/MANUEL ROXAS HIGH SCHOOL...
ReplyDeleteThis Fossil Fuel has a big part our country today , though in some cases that Fossil Fuel can be lost. We should find another source of fuel. The Technology today can help us to have a research and find alternative fuel so that, many economical resources can be saved.

fossil fuels silfinite, whichever way you look at them.but, they probably continue to be significant energy sources for decades to come.increased demand for them presents huge political, social and environmental problems.

further exploration for fossil fuels is continuing.the growing prices of its products make it feasible to use new technologies to extract oil and gas where cost of doing was prohibitive not long ago.
ReplyDeletethese technologies allow exploration in deep ocean water, previously inaccessible.as prices increase these technologies may also allow the production of hydrocarbons from oil sands and shale.the problems this causes will multiply with current steep worldwide rises in energy use, even as we start running out of oil

Fossil fuel is the most important fuel to us we use it in are cars and in other ways. But if we abuse using this fuel truly and easily this fuel can be fast burned out. There are some ways to conserve using this fuel. 1.Use bike when you are going to a place that is near to your House. 2.Do not use electricity if not needed. 3.Unplug electricity if not used. We can help conserve using Fossil fuel if we also conserve using this fuels by doing this tips. And we can also help are Environment be Clean,Green and without pollution.

fossil fuel
ReplyDeleteA chemical fuel is any substance which will react exothermically with atmospheric oxygen is available at reasonable cost and quantit and produces environmentally reaction products. During the past century the most important sources of heat energy in the United States and other industrialize countries have been the fossil fuels ; coal, petroleum, and natural gas .
Burning fossil fuels create green house gases that continue to aid in globl warming which reek on the planet's climate.
We must take good care and use an alternative source for our own sake ..

Alternative Fuels: A Key to Reducing Air Pollution
ReplyDeleteQuality air is essential to maintain life on earth. Unfortunately, the quality of air we breathe today has been deteriorating; it now poses grave threat to humans and the environment.
Studies of Metro Manila’s air quality revealed that a major bulk of its pollution load comes from motor vehicles. Compared with the stationary (industries) and area sources, the two other identified sources of pollution in the metropolis, pollution resulting from vehicle emissions increases more rapidly, and its effects are more prevalent and adverse to public health, particularly among the young and the elderly.
The factors that cause vehicles to emit pollutants are many. One of these is fuel quality. For decades, the country has exclusively depended on imported fossil fuels - diesel and gasoline - to run our motor vehicles. While we are not dismissing the benefits these fuels have contributed to our economic development, current studies also show their adverse effects on public health were as great as the economic gains we had, if not greater.
For this reason, the government is continually on the look out for ways to upgrade our fuel quality to approximate international standards. But, at the same time, it is also aggressively exploring cleaner alternative fuels in light of pressing environmental problems of air pollution and climate change.

Our country have some problems but the latest issue is the oil shortage. It is one of the most important for our daily life. One of our neccesity was affected like foods it is our daily needs but if the oil price will increase the price of food will also increase. But in my own opinion there is no shortage in oil the reason why there is no fuel is the price ceiling because there are many companies wants to increase their price. So they kept thier stock to cancel the price ceiling. feljun boholano from 1 adelfa

ReplyDeleteDIANNE HAZEL SENERES/I-SAMPAGUITA
